Dear Martin Luther King Families,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new Principal of Martin Luther King Elementary School and to join this extraordinary school community. I hope that this note finds you enjoying the your summer. I look forward to kicking off a wonderful school year together on August 15.

I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them a positive, productive, and safe learning environment.

I arrive to MLK with twelve years of administrative experience and eight years of teaching experience. This year will mark my twentieth year of education. I received my BA and Master degrees from California State University of Los Angeles and I am currently pursing my Doctorate in Organization Leadership. In addition to my role as a life-long educator, I am first and foremost a father. In August, my eldest son Lucca begins his first year of high school (ninth grade) and his younger brother Matteo will begin his first year of middle school (sixth grade). Being a father is the most important task I have undertaken in my life, and I plan to use the same dedication and insight to take care of your children as I would my own. I whole-heartedly believe that if our children feel safe, they dream. If they dream, they learn and, if they learn they succeed. This is my personal mindset and with our devoted staff and wonderful families working together, I believe that the sky is the limit for our children and our learning community...
